Another song written by Paul for his girlfriend Jane Asher, the lyrics of ‘every little thing’ tell the world about how lucky he feels to have such a great love; one who will do absolutely anything for him. Unfortunately Jane took the song badly, and felt that he wasn’t giving her the respect that she deserved, that she was independent and was not going to serve her man unconditionally. She became even more determined to fulfil her acting career and not to be simply to be known as the girlfriend of a Beatle.
