The Night before is one of Paul’s songs. The lyrics reflect how relationships are often different the day after. The couple had met and had a great time, but now the girl does not want to know. So basically the song is one of sorrow for a lost love. This song made it onto the film Help! where Paul sings it surrounded by the army on Salisbury plane.
