    The lyrics to mean Mr Mustard were written by John Lennon whilst in India. They refer to a story that John read in a newspaper that told of a man who was so mean that he hid his money from everybody to make it look like he had none of his own and so would not have to spend any money of his own.

    The bag lady (his sister Pam) that is written about in the mean Mr mustard song refers to a homeless women who kept all her things in plastic bags near where John lived in knightsbridge.

    Musically John does the vocals and Paul gets to bring out the fuzz base like on think for yourself.
